Septic System Inspections
Looking for a septic system inspection? We are National Association of Wastewater Technician (NAWT) certified septic system inspectors. We perform Level 0 and Level 1 septic system inspections on both aerobic and anaerobic systems in Temple, Belton, Killeen, Waco, Austin, and surrounding areas.
Should a Septic System be Inspected Before or After Pumping?
We recommend having a septic system inspected before pumping because issues with drainage can be easier to detect. If we inspect a system that appears to have been recently pumped, it could be an indicator that problems were experienced with the septic system. Once septic tanks have been pumped, we can check the tanks for problems like cracks or root intrusion, but proper drainage cannot be tested without filling the tanks back up, which could take hundreds of gallons of water. We do not offer pumping services.
Level 0 Septic Inspections:
- Basic visual inspection (no covers are removed for inspection)
- Equipment inspection (if applicable)
- Dye and load testing
- Functional flow/drainage testing
- Odor testing
Level 1 Septic Inspections:
- Everything included in Level 0 inspection
- Accessible covers are removed for additional evaluation
Why a Septic System Inspection?
Septic systems are essential to removing waste from the structures they are attached to. They are a must have and can be expensive to repair or replace. Septic systems are not always maintained how they should be. Having the septic system inspected for proper functionality prior to a real estate transaction may save you hundreds or even thousands should potential problems go undetected.
